April/May 2009 Events at Resurrection

RLC will celebrate Holy Week with the following services:

• Palm Sunday, April 5: The 10:30 a.m. service will begin with a palm processional followed by a worship service led by the Rev. Clay Seneker, interim pastor. Rev. Seneker's topic will be "We Examine Our Defects." Holy Communion will be offered to all believers.
  
  
• Maundy Thursday, April 9: The Rev. Seneker will preach on "Clean Feet! Clean Heart!" at 7 p.m. A "foot washing" will follow, and Holy Communion will be offered to all believers.
  
  
• The Good Friday service at 7 p.m. April 10 will follow an old order of readings, hymns, to a gradual darkening of the sanctuary and conclude with a dramatic Nailing the Cross and the stripping of the altar, symbolic of the stripping of Christ to crucify him.
  
  
• After a breakfast at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday served by the men of the church, the Rev. Seneker will preach on "Christ is Alive!" in a festive celebration of the Resurrection of Christ at 10:30 a.m. following a traditional liturgy. Holy Communion will be offered to all believers.
